Terms & Conditions 2026

Owners must disclose any behavioural concerns, medical conditions, or special requirements relating to their pet(s) prior to boarding. All dogs must arrive wearing a collar and lead. All cats must arrive in a secure cat carrier or crate. Cawarral Boarding Kennels accepts no responsibility for loss, injury, or damage caused by unrestrained pets. Full payment is required upon collection. Payments can be made via EFTPOS, direct deposit, or cash. Proof of direct deposit payment must be provided at check-out.

DEPOSITS

A $25 deposit per room booked is required to secure all boarding bookings. Deposits are due 30 days prior to the check-in date and can be paid via direct deposit, through our online booking system or over the phone. This deposit is non-refundable if:

  • You fail to arrive for your booking (“no show”)
  • You cancel or change your booking with less than 7 days notice prior to check-in

DEPOSITS – PEAK PERIOD BOARDING

During Queensland school holiday periods, a different booking policy applies. A 50% deposit is required 45 days prior to the scheduled check-in date to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled, shortened, or changed within 60 days of check-in. If pets are collected earlier than the original departure date, no refund will be provided for unused boarding days. Clients remain responsible for payment of the full original booking amount.

OUT OF HOURS CHECK IN/OUT

We understand that travel schedules may not always align with our opening hours. An out-of-hours check-in or check-out fee of $25 applies where arrangements are made outside normal business hours.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

All cats must hold a current F3 vaccination and all dogs must hold a current C5 vaccination. If vaccinations are overdue or the animal has never been vaccinated, vaccinations must be administered at least 14 days prior to boarding. Proof of vaccination is required before admission. Cawarral Boarding Kennels reserves the right to refuse admission to any animal showing signs of illness, injury, aggression, or behaviour deemed unsafe to staff or other animals.

FOOD & MEDICATION

Owner-supplied food must be clearly labelled with the pet’s name and family surname. All food is supplied at the owner’s expense. Medication instructions must be provided in writing. All medication must be clearly labelled with the prescribed dosage and administration details. Staff will administer medication according to the instructions provided. A $2 daily surcharge applies.

VETERINARY TREATMENT, INCIDENTS & LIABILITY

Owners will be contacted immediately if any incident, illness, injury, or concern arises during their pet’s stay. Any veterinary treatment required during boarding will be at the owner’s expense. If the owner or emergency contact cannot be reached, treatment decisions will be made at the discretion of the attending veterinarian. For the safety of all animals in our care, we do not accept pets with:

  • Open wounds
  • External stitches or sutures
  • Elizabethan collars/cones requiring fitting during their stay
